Deal 5 cards to each player. Open 1 card from the remaining deck in the center.
The player to the left of the dealer begins. On a player's turn, they can play 1 or more cards from their hand, provided all cards are the same number. After playing, they must either take one card from the set played by the previous player, or take the top card from the deck. Rather than playing cards of the same number, a player can also play a sequence of 3 or more cards of the same suit (such as 6
♠ 7
♠ 8
♠ ), a sequence of 4 cards of any suit (such as 10
♥ J
♠ Q
♠ K
♦ ), or 5 cards of the same suit (such as 2
♥ 6
♥ 7
♥ 9
♥ J
♥ ). . is a wild card.
The game ends when a player calls it; they must do so before their turn. The game ends immediately on their turn.
Each card is worth the number of points on the card. A is 1 point, J is 11, Q is 12, and K 13. The player with the fewest points gets 0 points, and the remaining players gain the difference between their points and the winner's points. If the declarer has the fewest points, they get the negative of the sum of all other players' points. If the declarer does not have the fewest points, they get 25 points in addition to the difference. The player with the fewest points wins.
