Players

This game can be played with 6 players.

Game basics

  • A is high
  • Remove .

Setup

Split players into 2 teams of 3. Players should be seated next to players from the opposing team. Remove 8 , and deal the remaining cards evenly.

Gameplay

With 8 removed, the remaining cards can now be separated into 8 half-suits or sets - four sets comprised of 2 3 4 5 6 7 , and four sets of 9 10 J Q K A .

The objective of each team is to claim as many of these sets as possible. Play begins with a random player, who requests a card from another player. The request must abide the following rules:

The requesting player must ask for a specific card, such as 3
or SK.

The requesting player must already hold a card from the set. So in order to request 3
, the player must already hold 2
4
5
or 6
.

The requesting player cannot request a card that they already carry.

The player must request from a player on the opposing team.

If the player being asked has the card, they must hand the card over to the requesting player, and the requesting player may play another turn. Otherwise, play passes to the asked player.

On a player's turn, they may claim a set by correctly declaring which players hold which cards. If the player is incorrect, and the opposing team holds any cards in the set, the opposing team wins the set. If all cards are held by the player's team, but in different positions, the set is forfeited.

When a set is claimed, those cards are turned face-up in front of the claiming player. If a player runs out of cards, they drop out of the game; if it was their turn, they may pass the turn on to any member of their team.

If an entire team's players are out of cards, the opposing team must immediately attempt to declare the remaining sets.

Scoring

The team with more sets wins.
