Gameplay

Before the game starts, each player can choose 2 of their 4 cards to look at. They may only do this once at the start of the game, and must remember those cards for the rest of the game.

Play begins to the left of the dealer. On their turn, a player takes the top card from the deck in the center. They may choose to either replace one of their own cards with the drawn card (placing the replaced card in the discard pile), or play the drawn card directly into the discard pile.

If the player plays the drawn card directly, they can use the power associated with the card:

6 and below: No power

7 8 : The player may look at one of their own cards

9 10 : The player may look at one of another player's cards, but not their own

J Q : Blind swap - the player may swap one of their cards with one of another player's, without looking at either

K
K
: Look and swap - the player may look at one of their cards, and look at one of another player's cards, then choose whether they want to swap

The player's turn then ends. The card's power is not granted if the card comes from the player's hand.

In addition to their turn, players can play out-of-turn in specific scenarios. If a card is played in the center (either from the deck or from a player's hand), and a player knows of another card on the table with the same number, they may play that card out-of-turn. This can only happen once for each card played in the discard pile.

If a card is played correctly from the player's own hand, they gain the advantage of having one fewer card in total (the card is not replaced from the deck). If a card is played correctly from another player's hand, the player who did so can choose one of their own cards to give to that player.

If a card is played incorrectly this way, the player who played the card gains an additional card from the deck without looking.

Scoring

Each card is worth the number on the card (so 6 is worth 6 points). A is worth 0 points, J Q K
K
are worth 10 points, and K
K
are worth -1 points. The remaining face cards are worth 10 points each. Points are tracked cumulatively across rounds; the player with the fewest points wins.
